Why We Need People.

Laugh. Cry. Smile. Break. In order for any of this to occur, we must interract with others. Often, it is directly, when we speak to them. Other times, it's indirect, and it happens when we read something or remember it. Either way, none of those emotions are easy to evoke without other people. To live, to survive in this world, it all starts with humanity. No child can be brought into this world without a human being, and no child may be reared without a human being. Conversely, some humans do not leave this world without some act by another. Why, then, are we so involved? Why do we thrust ourselves into all the clubs and societes of this world, hoping to amount to something and reach the elite?

Truthfully, it is because deep inside our hearts we desire to be included and among the others. Why? Simply for the sake of human company. Loneliness. The word exists to describe a state deprived of human company. If such a word exists with such a negative connotation, then surely the inverse a law of this universe. To cater to our whims and desires and necessities, we are here in this lie. But we are not left alone in desolate cells to wait out this existence, we are free to roam and interact. Why be given such a freedom if it is not a need?

A need for us as human beings, if nothing else, is others. What are always our main pillars of support? Human beings. Perhaps, some other inanimates are annexed to the list, but the fact remains that human beings are the core foundation even of the aforementioned inanimates. Music, for example, may be a pillar of support that many of us cling to. Music, in and of itself, is created by humans. In the end, it revolves directly back to the point: humanity is needed for the survival of humanity.

Having humans in our lives is no mistake, it never is and never shall be. The humans that we have in our lives are the ones that may turn out to be mistakes. It is hard to determine which ones are at times, for me all slip under the guise of ignorance now and then. But in the end, it is most likely other humans that will save us from such blindness and open our eyes to the truth. Even with the bad, they are also needed. The bottom line is, life can not function without the existence of other humans, it is the fuel that ignites the spark. To lack one shall be the death of the other, and we are all at fault. To live in such a world full of others is a blessing, in my opinion, for the possibilities of interactions are endless.
