To lose one's morale is one of the most shattering things that can occur; it goes beyond the physical and kills the soul. When a human being loses their morale, who knows where it may lead them? The shattering of motivation leads desperate hearts over the edge. No longer does the mind reason rationally, but the heart is allowed to lead foolishly; The heart, the heart. Where does that ever lead? The road a heart takes, the journey a heart chooses, is often a foolish venture. There are many roads, as there are many journeys. But the methodology of the heart renders all of these options useless.
The heart doesn't know what it's doing sometimes
And yet...it's so easy to find oneself immersed and seek it. So easy for one to become entranced and almost be willing to allow that foolish heart to take one's entire self down that ill-fated road that so many frolic along down happily, only to be dashed by the stones of doubt and gashed until nothing is left but the broken fragments of being. That is the danger of love. As well as a being may try to heed to it, nothing shall ever prepare a heart for such terrors. Nothing can ever brace all of humanity for such a hurdle; the obstacle that tears apart the soul and leaves the body intact. It's the only thing in the world that can kill a being without hurting the body.
Yet yet yet...the heart yearns
that yearning desire is so strong
so overwhelming
that alone can almost tear a being apart as well.
How to contain it?
1 common musings:
but having that heart is what makes us human.
and because we are human, there is no way we can avoid the trials our heart will take us through.
to be able to follow your heart and journey down the road it will lead you to only come out a stronger person than you were when you first started...that alone is bravery. Just to be able to take that risk...that is true bravery.
Don't mistake it, though. I still believe that letting the heart rule over the head is a foolish idea. But it'll get you something that we can't get by using intellect and reason alone. I don't know what it is...
...but wouldn't it be interesting to find out?
