Harsh Reality

I think I'm starting to see it, the real picture. There's more to this world than any of us may hope to comprehend, but that's not supposed to stop us from trying. At the very least, it wouldn't stop me. I want to take in as much of this world as possible.
On the phone with Camille the other day, I realized my true take on reality.
This world of ours is cruel, harsh, unfair. Nothing in life ever goes your way for long. This world is reality. If the world is harsh, fair, and uncruel, reality is. That's because reality and the world are parallels.
There, the world, reality, itself is not fair! Life is not meant to be what you want, so that's that. The sooner you learn to accept that, the easier life will seem. Note that I didn't say "the easier life will be" because it will never be easy, it will just seem so because our attitudes will change.
That's what life does, pulls you down. It's the human spirit within us all, that tenacity, that leads us into bigger horizons that are brighter.
