The Current Work.

Time to take things out of my head for a bit, I think.
What's going on with me lately...

I've started yet another work, for the umpteenth time probably. It happens often, I get a wonderful plot idea and start off beautifully, but I can never get enough development in between to make it a good one, and then I just stop. I leave it hanging in the air and don't finish my story. Henceforth, I have no fully complete "novels" under my belt. Just some short stories, terrible scripts, and an ugly play that would be impossible to stage -_- *sigh*

Well, this one. I've been tossing around plot ideas in Morality class since school got back. Mr. Garcias just gives so much insight into, everything, especially the human mind that it's incredible, it's inspiring. And so I decided to start another "novel", hopefully this time I can call it that by the end. And it's based and shaped by his lectures.

The title is A Whole Lot of Good, and it's basis is human sacrifice in various forms. It's set into a time period similar to that of To Kill a Mockingbird but there is no sort of separation among Africans and Caucasians at all. I don't know how I want the story to flow yet, but I know that the basis is sacrifice and its various states and identities in all sorts of people. I think I want to merge it with another theme that I wanted to play around with, too. The whole, most tragice love story deal that I haven't read anywhere else yet. I want a connection with whoever reads my work.

If there are any really good novels out there with clear structure and etc, I'd love to hear about them. I need as much experience and examples as possible. I think this work is the one that I am going to stick with and call my very first. I want to finish this, properly, not just for the sake of doing it. Right now, it's at 16 pages Word document format, standard stuff. Not much for the time I've had to do it, but I hope to expand on it quickly.
