Thoughts Inspired by "The Bucket List"

I've just watched it as of now. This Friday night. At first,I didn't want to, since I never watch movies. They're too long for me, and it takes away from my time to study and what not. So, I normally allow my mother and father to watch the movie with my younger sister while I personally choose to excuse myself from their ventures. But,well, the movie seemed interesting at the beginning,so I halted from my trip to the room to study and go online. My father left since he found it boring, but I started to like it even more, and so decided to sit down and watch it with my mother and younger sister, something I haven't done in months. As the movie progressed, I started to realize what they were trying to tell the audience:to make the most of your life while you still have time.

It made me cry,and that hasn't happened in a while, since I don't watch movies much any longer. But it was so inspirational, and it really hit close to home, concerning how we shouldn't waste time. It's been a long while since I've considered any movie worth watching, let alone twice, or even to buy. I dislike buying things, but I found myself asking my mother if we could, since we had rented the movie. I wanted to buy it before I had finished watching it.

The movie helped me realize something else as well :life is too short too worry over and too precious to waste. When we choose to not to some things, that's our choice. When we choose to do other things, that is also our choice. In the end, we should not have any regrets, since it is what we chose. But sadly, most people do have regrets when they look back on their life. That's unfortunate, since life is too wonderful to waste. No person should ever have to look back and feel regret at what they have or have not done.

I want to be the type of person that relishes every moment of her life. There isn't enough time to waste on being sad, so we should all just be happy. Looking back on the past ad allowing it to dwell on your present is much too tedious. Humans don't have the power to change their past, but they do control their present. That's is what we all should work toward. A better present. The future is the future, and it will get here when it gets here. For the most part, we should simply allow ourselves to be immersed in living with the present. That's all that we have to live for. We don't know what God has planned for us. What we do know, is that God wills us all to be happy.

That should be enough. Be happy, and live with no regrets.
