How many times in one lifetime does a person wish to be perfect? If we consider, the said number of times, as times that the person has taken away from their soul in saying so, how much of a soul would they have left at the end of a lifetime? For many, if not all of us, not much of our soul would be left if that was the case. But, that was simply in hypothetical terms, and does not deplete from our life spans when we choose to put our ourselves down for such things.
However, a sort of expanding can be made with that statement: everytime that you strive for perfection, you only make yourself less of the person that you once were. That seems a bit...odd,at the very least. But if you consider it,it might not be. Each time that you choose to overlook the fact that you worked your hardest and instead choose to be angry at yourself with not achieving perfection is a time in which you hurt your soul. The greatest injury that can be dealt to a peroson's soul is one dealt by the person themself.
Perfection, the state of being perfect, is unattainable. The reason behind that is because no one is ever going to have standards parallel to the world's. Particularly, that can be linked to the fact that there is no "world's standard" either. The world is full of people, and they are all diverse, with their own set of standards. Because of that, there's no way that everyone will agree when it comes to what is "perfect."
It might be a nice thought to be able to reach perfection, but no one will be perfect to everyone, simple as that. Not being able to be perfect should be something that is celebrated, not something that is chided for. Because of the fact that we are not perfect, we are able to keep trying. Since we aren't perfect, the sky is once again the limit in what we do. We will never get to the point where we no longer need to stop trying, we will always have the opportunity to do better. That is probably the best part about not being able to be perfect. We are always given a chance to try and do better, because in the end, that should be all that matters. We try, we tried, and we try again.
