Love is Such an Important Force.

We take it for granted that it exists, but imagine a world without love. Not even romantic love, for just a second; consider a love in which it is purely among peers. With love comes respect and the willingness to make sacrifices. With love comes forsaking pride for the sake of unity. When a man and woman get married, they should love one another. How dare you even try to come up with circumstances in which a marriage devoid of love can work. How dare you. By the very nature, how can you guarantee respect, willingness, or concession in such a union? You leave solely up to the individuals to never have a reason to believe in something greater because they are forever single units, not part of one united front? You make a travesty of the very nature that makes loves beautiful. How dare you.

But, I wouldn't be here had I not been the result of such a union. But, never again. It's a crime. It's a damn crime to be married and not be in love.
