- 5:45 am wake up to shower; left the house 6:15 ; dropped off at 7 am; 1 car means i gotta be early so angelyn won’t be late. it was alrighty waiting alone at the tables outside because Pauline kept me company and Chris woke up early just for me!!! <3 It was cold that morning. I went into my class at around 7:45 and it was kinda packed already but I got a seat at a side table. SPINNY CHAIRS!!
- Anthro 250 : 3 freshman and 27 upperclassmen, goody. It was really interesting throughout though. And they have spinny chairs in there…i like :) All i gotta do is pace myself when i read the book for the exam and take notes, easy peasy compared to AP :) and the teacher is my academic advisor :) bonus points for me! She let us out early. I just loved her intro for this class about nostril site relating to climate and the sexual signals of the human species. Deep , deep stuff
- ran into Jessica Rivera; then met up with Daisy at Davenport and met her friend Desiree; then Tay called to say hi and Javi came over
- crashed that piano class and the last person didn’t show up!! but i gotta wait one more class to see. i hope he doesn’t because…i think i fell in love with that class/course already :’) i’ve wanted to take piano since i was little, the teacher is just like Mrs. Wei and she already really likes me, and they would let me practice as much as i want ! D”: oh my goodness!
- met up with theee best friend Theresa for our long 3 hour break; then off to our classes in the same building ; Founder's Hall has some narrow steps!!!
- Honors Writing was 14 freshmen :p what really struck me was the prof’s discussion on the origins/outlook of Christianity. He said “the poor will go to heaven and the rich will be condemned to hell.” That didn’t sound right, but based on the Beatitudes, i could see why. But…is that how we come off to outsiders? Wow. Met Christina since she ran to class and we have the same phone
- Poli Sci, 2 freshmen in a sea of higher upper classmen. But, my goodness, the level of debate in that class was intense, even the personal conversations before the class. And the professor, wow..i’m gonna like this class, i think. As much as i hate politics, i only dislike it because i don’t understand it well enough. But I feel I will in this class.
- short break with my best friend again and speech class together!! and it is one huggeee class in the lecture hall, but it’ll be super chill, i bet. A debate team, a club , and two classes in there? That's so cool!
Homework already :) reading reading and reading. and practice piano notes! i am so excited, i hope i get that class. that guy better get kidnapped!! *ahem* Chris :) !
WEDNESDAY: I had driver's ed and it was alrighty. I lied and said I had never driven before, meh . The turns, staying in the middle, and maintaining speed are what get me. So we practiced a lot of turning in a residential area. But I got this...just practice. I had to read 64 pages total for Poli Sci but I also made notes O.o and practiced piano. Man, I was beat.
THURSDAY:
- Again with the 5:45 morning and this one was harder. I am starting to slow down. I guess the summer made me lax. WEAK!
- dropped off again at 7 am and just waited by the campus center but this time Chris kept me warm via texts, yay :)
- Off to Anthro at around 7:40, few people this time around; i picked the same seat as last time. boring, generic intro lecture but the youtube video we watched about the study of youtube was great! "Anthropologist study of youtube.."or something. Great stuff
- went to the music room early to practice piano and it was alright. i warned the girl in the other room and she laughed. Class got harder; i can't get my fingers to work with chords! but eh. i shall. that class is mine now since the guy was a no show
- long butt break all by myself since Theresa dropped music history. i ate alone after the library haha i like the little cubbies! but then i texted Jessica and she and I went to the picnic together! thank goodness for her. I was in line with my Anthro teacher and she told me not to be shy! Then, peach cobbler with ice cream, mmmm, and a free cup/magnet/fan! she's a life saver
- Dashed off to Honors and i did it for no reason since i was still before the professor. college-chill, gotta remember. sat in the same seat but Christina couldn't, man that girl is friendly with everyone though. Great lecture on Hindu gods and what not, yup
- Poli Sci, i am now the only freshman, but whatevers. I think this is my favorite class! The people are pretty great, one senior girl has had a Tues, Thursday schedule all but once! so i can do it!! And, the debates in this class are great. Gelm is great! Lecture was easy, all old AP Gov stuff and I got the question about Locke correct, so props to Manzo
- short break with Theresa after i couldn't find Professor Leaver; we went to the library computers to find her books, i could not log out haha so i just turned it off
- off to speech and it was much smaller. the teacher is filipino. did some mock debates with just arguing sides. i am still too shy to do it.
